[The way certain words were phrased, that seem to slither down a person's spine like a slimy serpent - the words coming too clearly but yet something it seem to have break somewhere between hearing it and the brain registering what it means. The words seem to compel the listener to partake while instinct tells one to flee. It did make Holmes wonder if that is what Pandora felt with the box.
[He watches a petal fall into his drink, floating on the glass.
For a moment, he looks...secretive. Like he knows something that Sherlock doesn't...before he shrugs and takes another drink.]
Indeed - I had all the chance in the world. Those countless phantasmal spirits were only a threat because I allowed them to become one. Of course, it was partly because of my fondness for our Master, but...

[He saw that look, here - nothing escapes his eyes. For a moment, he considered badgering the man, to make him spill, but he holds off - knowing Moriarty will not answer unless he wants to. Part of being a detective is knowing when to ask.
At Moriarty's words, he involuntarily shivers - it was something he feared when he was alive, a mortal being who had no natural defenses against something pushing against his soul]

Still, he doesn't lash out juuuust yet. His fingers desperately twitch against the glass, though.]
