[ As the meeting disperses, Emi lingers behind for a moment before walking over to Ruler. She smiles and tilts her head slightly toward the door. ]

Shall we take our bad habits outside?

[He laughs slightly, giving a nod of agreement]

I believe it's the perfect weather for it.

[As they head outside, he had out the pack of cigarettes and a zippo lighter, offering to light hers before his own]

Ah, thank you.

[ She takes the white glove off of her right hand -- she doesn't want to get any nicotine stains on it, of course -- and slips it into her pocket before gladly accepting the light. At the right angle, it's apparent that her palm is covered in burn scars.

Once they're outside, she takes a drag and exhales slowly. ]

Being surrounded by that many kids can really make you feel old, huh?

[His own gloves were a very dark brown, so stains didn't show easily, though he did remove one to make it easier to use the lighter.

The scars catches his attention, there's quite a few reasons one could have them, and with the amount - likely for reasons not to be brought up casually. He leans against the wall, away from the doors and windows as he slowly exhales]

I'd say it would be impossible to feel old for me, but that would be a lie. It is rather alarming how young many of them are... SCP-6350 and our Patron seem to have a preference for press-ganging teenagers.

Mm... At least with the Foundation you could sort of rationalize it.

[ She follows suit in leaning back against the wall. ]

That exactly who they pulled in was supposedly randomized, and they were using their personal talents to protect people. With this, if the entire point of it is to kill each other... that seems like a new low.

Teenagers tend to be impulsive, and more likely to leap upon a chance to fulfill an impossible wish.

I think a lot of people would be... Honestly, I'd be more surprised if someone didn't end up trying it.
